The women of Heated Rivalry are indispensable

Over the past few months, it has seemed as if the Crave show Heated Rivalry has frozen the world into a state of collective obsession. The reasons are many: the well-written characters and their storyline, the string-pulling acting, the evident love and care for the source material. Most importantly, it is the honest representation of queerness and community. 

But what makes the show so unique, so refreshing, is the value placed on women – both as characters and as an audience.
